Celebrating our inclusive community with a diverse week of events!

To mark the beginning of Pride Month, the Town Council will once again raise the Pride flag on 1 June. We encourage businesses, organisations, and residents throughout Buckingham to join in and show their support for an inclusive and welcoming community.

Free Outdoor Yoga Class

Join Mental Wellness Retreats for a welcoming and inclusive yoga session.

Led by a qualified mental health nurse, this relaxing outdoor session takes place beside the calming river and beautiful willow trees in Chandos Park. A wonderful opportunity to unwind, connect, and celebrate community together.

Lost Victorian Voices Exhibition

Lost Victorian Voices is a long-running research project created by Buckinghamshire Archives and funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which seeks to uncover, explore and bring to life the stories of LGBTQ+ Victorians from Buckinghamshire.

Community Floral Display

Residents are invited to visit and add to a Floral Rainbow display, with meaningful quotes and a rainbow of flowers to choose from. Creating beautiful art that shows the inclusive community in Buckingham.

Community Wellbeing Wall

Passers-by are invited to use the provided markers, pride coloured paper hearts and blue tac on the front windows of the Little Buckingham Clinic to write their wellbeing intentions, goals and affirmations. A word of self-love. Come by, write your heart, and help us fill our windows with love for ourselves, each other and our town.

Pride is about visibility, acceptance and community - and wellbeing begins when we feel safe to be ourselves.
