The Colour Room (PG) at The Film Place

All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Clarice Cliff was a creative and ambitious 1920s factory worker in the Staffordshire Potteries, driven to move from one job to another. In the middle of the Depression her boss recognises her massive talent and she is asked to design the Art Deco “Bizarre” range which secures the factory’s survival. It also assures her future as one of the greatest Art Deco designers.  Dulcie Pearce in the Sun says, “While often too gentle and pretty for the post-war industrial North, The Colour Room makes you proud to be a Brit”.
