In supporting Buckingham Town Council’s Fringe Week that they are hosting to celebrate the 100th birthday of Sir David Attenborough.
100 Trees for 100 Years
This year, Manor Farm and Buckingham Flower Farm are creating ‘The Attenborough Hedge’— planting 100 trees, one for each remarkable year of Sir David Attenborough’s life. It will be a living tribute to a man who has inspired and educated generations about the flora, fauna, insects, animals and oceans of our beautiful planet.
Long after the celebrations end, this hedgerow will continue to grow — feeding pollinators, sheltering wildlife, and standing as a lasting reminder of what a community can achieve together.
A suggested donation of £5 will plant one tree.
Collection boxes can be found at:
Manor Farm Butchery, Larder Café and Buckingham Flower Farm
If you would like to help to plant the trees, community planting dates shall be arranged soon — do keep an eye out for details.
As part of ths event, Manor Farm shall also be presenting a Pick-Your-Own flower session, a Gnome Trail, as well as opportunity to find out about all that goes on in the flower field.
The bar will be open from 12pm and there shall be some lawn games for adults and children to enjoy
Together, let’s create something that will flourish for generations to come.
