In this bewitching 1949 classic comedy of British snobbery, sexual repression and corruption, an aristocratic family disowns their daughter for marrying beneath her, denying her scheming son from becoming a duke.  After her death he seeks revenge by systematically murdering, in increasingly fascinating ways, the eight people ahead of him in line of succession to the dukedom.
