A boy is brought up by his aunt in the French countryside, whilst his mother lives in Paris.  It is not clear why she is there or who his father is. The story gradually shares family secrets that have been hidden throughout his life. The film has been praised for its star-studded cast and especially Bill Nighy’s dishevelled and sardonic performance, especially when partnered with Imelda Staunton.

The Film Place is Buckingham’s community cinema, run entirely by volunteers.

A selection of refreshments available for sale at all film showings.
