Four Mothers (15) at The Film Place

A novelist finds himself on the brink of literary success after years of caring for his elderly mother. He then finds that his friends plan to capitalise on his caring skills by going together on an overseas holiday and leaving their own mothers in his care. Now he must manage four eccentric, combative, and formidable old women, as well as coping with the stress of his unexpected success as a writer. Wendy Ide in the Observer says, “What could have been a sentimental plodder gets a pleasingly acerbic tang from the bracing cattiness of the dialogue”
