Buckingham Town Council is proud to be coordinating Buckingham’s very first official Pride Week and is inviting local organisations, businesses, and community groups to get involved. The initiative was proposed by The King’s Head and aims to bring the community together in celebration of inclusion, visibility, and pride across the town.

If you are interested in hosting an event during Pride Week, please get in touch so we can help promote it and include it in the official programme.

To mark the beginning of Pride Month, the Town Council will once again raise the Pride flag on 1 June. We encourage businesses, organisations, and residents throughout Buckingham to join in and show their support for an inclusive and welcoming community.

Announced Pride Week Events

Wednesday 3rd June –

• Free Yoga Class – 6:00pm at Chandos Park, hosted by Mental Wellness Retreats

Thursday 4th June –

• Queer Psychic Night at The Amethyst Studio – FREE

• The Whale – Pride Talk & Q&A followed by Disco Bingo

Friday 5thJune –

• Sandy Flaps Drag Show at The Grand Junction Doors open: 7:00pm | Show starts: 7:30pm

• Screening of Pillion at The Film Place – 7:30pm

Saturday 6thJune –

• Pride-Themed Parkrun – 9:00am Dress in rainbow colours and take part in a 5k Pride Walk. Flags encouraged!

• Events at The Amethyst Studio, all sessions are FREE:

  • 11:00am – Meditation

  • 1:00pm – Healing Circle

  • 4:00pm – Talk on Queer Spirituality

• The King’s Head – Coyote Ugly Themed Night

Throughout the Week –

• Pride-themed book display at Buckingham Library

• Lost Victorian Voices exhibition by Buckinghamshire Archives on display at the library

• Howes The Florist invites visitors to contribute to its rainbow display by adding foliage and a message of support
