Buckingham 500 - Food Bank Challenge

Organised by the Rotary Club of Buckingham, Buckingham’s 500 Metre Can Line Challenge is bringing the community together to support local food banks — and everyone is invited to take part.

The aim is to collect around 7,000 cans, which will be lined up side by side before being donated to food banks across the Buckingham area.

Local schools, organisations, community groups, businesses and residents are all encouraged to get involved by:

  • Collecting and donating tins of food

  • Helping set up and run the event

  • Taking part in can-themed games and activities

  • Assisting with transporting donations to local food banks

  • Helping clear the site after the event

The day will also include entertainment, activities, food and refreshments, making it a fun community event for all ages while supporting an important local cause.

Whether you can donate one can or one hundred, volunteer your time, or simply come along to support the event, every contribution will help make a difference.

Let’s work together to fill 500 metres with kindness and support local families in need.
