The Arcadian Opera Company presents Franz Lehar's comic opera The Merry Widow. The Merry Widow is a magical tale of money, mayhem and matchmaking in Paris at the turn of the last century.

Glamorous and wealthy young widow Hanna Glawari is surrounded by a flattering number of Parisian suitors on her return to Paris. But everything changes when an old friend from Hanna’s past enters the ballroom. One of the most popular romantic operettas, The Merry Widow is the perfect blend of comedy acting, dance and unforgettable music.

Arcadian Opera, renowned for bringing imaginative, traditional opera to Stowe using state of the art projections, employ professional singers for the principal roles, a chorus of talented and experience local singers, accompanied by a professional orchestra. The Merry Widow shall be sung in an English translation so as to dispense with distracting subtitles and allow for a more immersive experience.
