Clock & Watchmaking in Buckingham c. 1680-1900, Buckingham Old Gaol


Did you know Buckingham has a fascinating history of clock and watchmaking dating back to c.1680? Names like Thomas Ford, James Bradford and William Stanton.

To celebrate Buckingham Old Gaol will be hosting a temporary display of clocks and watches in the exercise yard September 15th to 27th. Only £5 entry fee (the exercise yard will be closed to museum visitors).

Also get a ticket early if you want to hear Tim Marshall (author of Buckinghamshire Clock and Watchmakers) speak about the exhibits Saturday (20th) evening at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Old Gaol Shop from 4 August. Book early to avoid disappointment as tickets will be limited.
