Cycling in Buckingham

Permissive cycle paths and bridleways, as well as a national cycleway, link Buckingham to neighbouring villages and maps are available to plan your route, full details from Buckinghamshire Council.

A 5.5 miles cycle path connects nearby historic village Padbury with Buckingham. Running alongside the A413 this modern cycle and footway is designed with safe crossing in mind and has been extremely popular since the last leg was completed in 2019. From Padbury there are safe routes to both Bicester and Milton Keynes along National Cycle Route 51.

If distance cycling appeals – try National Cycle Route 50 which starts in the Claydons and heads north to Leicestershire through Buckingham. The area of the route surrounding Buckingham includes Gawcott and riding along Stowe Avenue towards National Trust’s Stowe House.
